What happens in this clip

Once the first tread is accurately positioned, secure it in place. If the treads are self-adhesive, carefully peel off the backing and firmly press the tread onto the stair, ensuring good contact across its entire surface. If not self-adhesive, apply double-sided carpet tape to the back of the tread before pressing it down. Ensure the tread is smooth and free of wrinkles.

Goal: Firmly attach the first stair tread to the stair

Step 2 of 2: Position and Secure Your Tread

Carefully position your Oak Valley Designs carpet stair tread onto the pre-cleaned step or landing area. Take a moment to ensure it’s perfectly aligned with your intended placement. Once satisfied, apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface of the tread.
