measure stairs for bullnose treads
Step 3 of 3

Step 3 · Account for Carpet Pile and Special Starter Steps
Remember that our plush, high-quality carpet treads add a bit of thickness. To ensure your final overhang remains within the safe 3/4 to 1 1/4 inch range, you may need to factor in the pile height. If you have a curved or 'crescent-shaped' starter step at the base of your stairs, don't worry! These unique steps require a special touch. We offer custom-made solutions designed to perfectly match their specific shape, ensuring every step in your home combines safety and style.
