Install stair treads
Step 5 of 6

Step 5 · Secure the Tread: Center-Out Pressure
For a bond that's built for everyday life, applying pressure correctly is key. Start in the middle of the tread and firmly press outwards towards the edges. This technique pushes out any trapped air bubbles for a perfectly flat, secure fit. Pay special attention to the corners and edges to prevent any lifting. You can use your hands, or a small hand roller or even a flat, solid object can help seat the tread for maximum adhesion.
Always work from the center outward to push out air bubbles, then press the edges firm.
A hand roller or any flat object helps seat it firmly.
