Perform any final touch-ups on walls and woodwork as needed. Once all painting and staining is complete and dry, remove all dust sheets and drop cloths from the floor. Vacuum the floor thoroughly to clean up any remaining debris or dust. Finally, reinstall any decorative items, such as mirrors or artwork, that were temporarily removed.
Goal: Clean the area and set up the newly decorated room.
This project details the process of transforming a room with existing black timber beams and woodwork into a brighter, more contemporary space by cleaning, filling, painting walls and ceilings, and then restaining the timber to a natural brown finish. The process involves meticulous masking, multiple coats of paint, and a final wax and stain application to achieve the desired aesthetic change.
Tidy up the workspace by removing any leftover supplies, tools, or debris. Step back and admire your newly installed gallery wall along the staircase.
