After all wiring connections are made, the system is ready for testing. For safety, the interconnected components should ideally be placed within a suitable electrical enclosure, such as a PVC junction box (as shown in the video for a brief moment). Once safely enclosed and connected to a power source, turn on the power supply. The motion detector typically has two control dials: one for 'TIME' (adjusting the duration the light stays on after motion is detected) and one for 'LUX' (adjusting the light sensitivity, determining when the sensor activates based on ambient light levels). To test the motion detector's functionality during daylight, turn the 'LUX' sensitivity dial all the way to the right (maximum sensitivity). This should allow the sensor to detect motion even in bright conditions. The video demonstrates the light turning on and off by simulating motion detection (by moving a hand near the sensor). Adjust the 'TIME' dial to set the desired light-on duration.
