What happens in this clip
As an alternative for non-structural, small, aesthetic repairs, or for filling cracks, QUIKRETE Concrete Patching Compound is a pre-mixed, ready-to-use acrylic latex formula. Before applying, thoroughly stir the compound with a margin trowel or putty knife to ensure a uniform consistency. Apply it to a clean, dry concrete surface. Spread the compound evenly over the repair area and texture it to match the surrounding concrete. For a smoother finish, wet your trowel occasionally. For patches or cracks over 1/4 inch thick, apply the compound in multiple thin layers, allowing each layer to dry completely before applying the next.
Goal: Repair small, non-structural concrete damage with a pre-mixed compound.

About the full video
This project provides step-by-step instructions for repairing minor damage, such as chips, scaling, and cracks, on exterior concrete surfaces. It covers proper surface preparation, including removing unsound material and thorough cleaning, followed by mixing and applying the appropriate QUIKRETE concrete repair products, either Vinyl Concrete Patcher or Concrete Patching Compound, to achieve a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish.
Step 3 of 5: Apply the Patching Compound
Using a trowel or putty knife, scoop a portion of the mixed patching compound and press it firmly into the crack or chip. Work the compound into all voids and ensure it makes good contact with the underlying concrete. Overfill slightly to allow for shrinkage and easier feathering.
