What happens in this clip
To eliminate annoying creaking noises in wood or laminated floors, locate the exact spot where the creak occurs. Apply talcum powder (or powdered graphite) to the crack between the floorboards. The powder will work its way down into the friction point where the wood is rubbing against each other when pressure is applied, often making the squeaking noise disappear completely.

Step 5 of 7: Apply Lubricant or Powder
